2023-24 Language Arts Class Offerings
Class One
American Literature and Composition
September 17 through October 24 (weeks 1-6) and January 21 through February 27 (weeks 7-12)
Students will participate in the following activities:
- Essay construction and organization
- Guided reading and response
- Review and practice for SAT/ACT
- Vocabulary and spelling units
- Reading comprehension practice
- American literature studies – novels, poetry, and short stories
- Writing mechanics instruction and practice
- Class presentations and creative writing
Class Two
Creative Writing and Performance
November 5 through December 12 (weeks 1-6) and March 18 through May 1 (weeks 7-12)
Students will participate in the following activities:
- Short story creation
- Character analysis
- Explore and analyze poetry, short stories, and classic literature
- Script writing and performing
- Theatrical script selection and directing
- Writing memory books
- Journaling
High School Class Information
Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 – 2:30 for twelve weeks: six weeks first semester and six weeks second semester.
Students will be assigned 5-6 hours of homework each week. Students will receive one year of Language Arts credit per option.
Tuition Information
High School Class Tuition is $850.00 per option.
Vendor Direct Payment forms may be used for tuition.
Middle School Class Information
Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 11:30 – 1:00 for twelve weeks: six weeks first semester and six weeks second semester.
Students will be assigned 5-6 hours of homework each week. Students will receive one year of Language Arts credit per option.
Tuition Information
Middle School Class Tuition is $600.00.
Vendor Direct Payment forms may be used for tuition.
Tuition Information
Families must contact DeVolld Consulting, in writing, 60 days prior to the first day of class if the student decides not to attend. Failure to do so will result in being charged the full tuition.
