DeVolld Consulting has been providing high school Language Arts instruction to homeschool students in the Central Peninsula area since 2006.

DeVolld Consulting is owned and operated by Shona DeVolld.  Shona has been a teacher on the Kenai Peninsula since 1996 and spent nine years as a high school English teacher at Kenai Central High School.  During her time at KCHS, Shona was recognized for her excellence as a teacher.  In 1997-1998, Shona was a Sally Mae First Class Teacher Award Nominee honoring the nation’s most outstanding elementary and secondary educators during their first year of teaching.  In 1999-2000, Shona was among the first recipients of the BP Teacher of Excellence awards for the Kenai Peninsula and a Disney American Teacher Award Nominee. Shona was also awarded a DeWitt Wallace-Readers Digest Fellowship to the Breadloaf School of English through the Middlebury College of English.  Before deciding to be a stay-at-home mother, she served seven years as Chair of the KCHS English Department.

Shona also serves as an adjunct English faculty member of the University of Alaska Anchorage Kenai River Campus.
