Class Information
Classes are designed and scheduled to meet the unique needs of homeschool students. These classes meet Alaska State Standards for Language Arts and provide students with high school Language Arts credit. Instruction is planned and delivered by a highly qualified Language Arts teacher, certified by the State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development.
DeVolld Consulting can accommodate both Connections and IDEA families and is approved for Connections and IDEA Vendor Direct Payment.
Class Options
Each 12 week class option covers one school year of instruction. Successful completion of all four classes would fulfill the English/Language Arts graduation requirements for the State of Alaska.

- CLASS 1: American Literature and Composition [Sept.-Oct. (weeks 1-6) AND Jan.-Feb. (weeks 7-12)]
- CLASS 2: Creative Writing and Performance [Oct.-Dec. (weeks 1-6) AND Mar.-May (weeks 7-12)]
Offered 2024-2025
- CLASS 1: World Literature & Composition [Sept.-Oct. (weeks 1-6) AND Jan.-Feb. (weeks 7-12)]
- CLASS 2: British Literature & Composition [Nov.-Dec. (weeks 1-6) AND Mar.-May (weeks 7-12)]
- CLASS 3: Middle School Language Arts [Sept.-Oct. (weeks 1-6) AND Jan.-Feb. (weeks 7-12)]
Cost Information
Vendor Direct Payment forms may be used for payment.
High School Class Cost is $850.00 per option.
Middle School Class Cost is $600.00.
Families must contact DeVolld Consulting, in writing, 60 days prior to the first day of class if the student decides not to attend. Failure to do so will result in being charged the full amount.
